February 18, 12:00pm: Streaming podcast at the Reading Room in La Cañada Flintridge
All are welcome at the weekly streaming podcast each Tuesday at 12 noon in the Christian Science Reading Room in La Cañada Flintridge, 600 Foothill Blvd. The program varies from week to week, and is typically an interview or a podcast on a current topic of interest, such as those from The Mary Baker Eddy Library in Boston, or from The Christian Science Monitor.
The program on Tuesday, February 18th, is an audio replay of the interview in Boston last month at The Christian Science Monitor with Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, authors of the book “Tightrope: Americans reaching for hope.” These authors have both won Pulitzer Prizes for their work. Their new book examines the crisis in working-class America and the great potential of hope for the future. It’s a fine example of how the Monitor tackles challenging questions.
Please feel free to bring your lunch.
PLEASE NOTE: This regular streaming event is temporarily suspended while our reading room is closed.
This is a recurring event: Every Tuesday
