- Ps. 119:107 quicken, 117 (to :)
quicken me, O Lord, according unto thy word.
117Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe:
- Ps. 91:1-4, 9-11, 15
1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
... 9Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
... 15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
- Prov. 29:25 whoso
whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
- Prov. 3:5, 6, 26
5¶ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
26For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
- Prov. 1:33 whoso
whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
- Prov. 18:10
10The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
- Ezek. 34:22-26, 28 2nd they, 30, 31
22Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
23And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
24And I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the Lord have spoken it.
25And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
26And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
... they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
... 30Thus shall they know that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord God.
31And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.
- Luke 8:40
40And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.
- Luke 15:3-6
3¶ And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
4What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
- John 10:6 (to :), 7 Verily, 9, 14-16, 27-30
6This parable spake Jesus unto them:
... Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
... 9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
... 14I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30I and my Father are one.
- Rom. 8:35, 38 I, 39
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
... I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- James 4:8 (to 1st .)
8Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.

It is ignorance and false belief, based on a material sense of things, which hide spiritual beauty and good-Man inseparable from Loveness. Understanding this, Paul said: “Nei-6ther death, nor life, . . . nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from 9the love of God.” This is the doctrine of Christian Science: that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object; that joy cannot be turned into 12sorrow, for sorrow is not the master of joy; that good can never produce evil; that matter can never produce mind nor life result in death. The perfect man — governed 15by God, his perfect Principle — is sinless and eternal.
- SH 66:6-7, 10-11, 14
- SH 381:17-30
In infinite Life and Love there is no sickness, sin, nor 18death, and the Scriptures declare that we live, move, and have our being in the infinite God.
Think less of the enactments of mortal mind, and you 21will sooner grasp man’s God-given dominion. You must God-given dominionunderstand your way out of human theories relating to health, or you will never believe 24that you are quite free from some ailment. The har-mony and immortality of man will never be reached without the understanding that Mind is not in matter. 27Let us banish sickness as an outlaw, and abide by the rule of perpetual harmony, — God’s law. It is man’s moral right to annul an unjust sentence, a sentence never 30inflicted by divine authority.
- SH 65:11
- SH viii:4
- SH 495:14
When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling 15steadfastly to God and His idea. Allow nothing but His Steadfast and calm trust likeness to abide in your thought. Let neither fear nor doubt overshadow your clear sense and 18calm trust, that the recognition of life harmonious — as Life eternally is — can destroy any painful sense of, or belief in, that which Life is not. Let Christian Science, 21instead of corporeal sense, support your understanding of being, and this understanding will supplant error with Truth, replace mortality with immortality, and silence dis-24cord with harmony.
- SH 122:1-7
The evidence of the physical senses often reverses the real Science of being, and so creates a reign of discord, — 3Opposing testimonyassigning seeming power to sin, sickness, and death; but the great facts of Life, rightly un-derstood, defeat this triad of errors, contradict their false 6witnesses, and reveal the kingdom of heaven, — the actual reign of harmony on earth.
- SH 130:9
- SH 167:6, 20
We apprehend Life in divine Science only as we live above corporeal sense and correct it. Our pro-portionate admission of the claims of good or of evil de-9termines the harmony of our existence, — our health, our longevity, and our Christianity.
The “flesh lusteth against the Spirit.” The flesh and 21Spirit can no more unite in action, than good can coin-Half-way successcide with evil. It is not wise to take a halt-ing and half-way position or to expect to work 24equally with Spirit and matter, Truth and error. There is but one way — namely, God and His idea — which leads to spiritual being. The scientific government of the 27body must be attained through the divine Mind. It is im-possible to gain control over the body in any other way. On this fundamental point, timid conservatism is abso -30lutely inadmissible. Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized.

- SH 548:5
- SH 470:32
The relations of God and man, divine Principle and 471 471:1idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine 3order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He cre-ates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history.
