Here is a list of events over the coming six months in our local community concerning Christian Science, apart from our regular Sunday services, Wednesday meetings, and Reading Room hours. For recurring events, only the next event is listed, along with a brief statement about the frequency of occurrence. June 13. 11:00 Bible Lesson Discussion Group
The group meets on the second Saturday of each month, spending an hour exchanging insights about the current weekly Bible Lesson. This meeting is in our Reading Room at 827 Foothill Blvd., La Cañada Flintridge. You can attend in person, or by telephone. Anyone interested is welcome.

June 20. 11:00 Book Reading Group (1 week early)
The Book Reading Group’s current project is to read the New Testament from a spiritual perspective. Members and friends interested in the Bible are welcome to join the discussion each month. Meetings are usually on the 4th Saturday at 11:00. However, there will be some date changes over the summer. Here is the schedule:
- June 20, the third Saturday: Matthew 1-11
- July 18, the 3rd Saturday: Matthew 12-20
- August 29, the 5th Saturday: Matthew 21-28
In September we revert to the 4th Saturday.
The meetings are held in our reading room at 827 Foothill Blvd, La Cañada Flintridge, and you can attend either in person or on TurboBridge (telephone call-in) at 11:00.,

In one of its responses to the global pandemic, the Christian Science Publishing Society has gathered together a new collection of five articles with clear, practical, powerful messages of healing and comfort. If you are a member of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, or of The Mother Church, and if your income has been interrupted due to recent events, financial assistance may be available to you from The Principle Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund. Likewise, if you are seeking a way to help others who are facing an unexpected financial challenge, The Principle Foundation provides an avenue for giving. The Principle Foundation’s mission is to promote inspired benevolence in accordance with the teachings of Christian Science. Daily Monday through Friday: Your Daily Lift on christianscience.com
A daily audio series called Your Daily Lift can be found on the web site christianscience.com. It runs Monday through Friday every week, and consists of short two-minute inspirational messages. You can listen to it or register for free to have it emailed to you each day. You can find it at christianscience.com by clicking on Church, then Lectures, then Daily Lift. On-line Wednesday testimony meeting from Boston
Join the on-line congregation of The Mother Church live each Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Pacific Time for hymns and readings specially complied for the day, plus testimonies submitted by listeners. A replay of the meeting will be available any time between 1 p.m. Wednesday and 12 noon Thursday (Pacific Times). Weekly: Christian Science Sentinel Radio Edition
This weekly radio program is broadcast around the world, and also released monthly on CD. It features insightful interviews and inspiring discussions on how God's laws apply to current events and individual challenges. See the Sentinel Radio Edition web page for details. In our area, listen on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. on KVTA 1520 AM (Ventura). Also, multiple radio stations around the country broadcast their programs live over the internet. Bible Lesson and Sentinel Program, listen 24 hours on telephone 323 805-8700
The Christian Science Churches and Reading Rooms in Southern California host a 24-hour Bible Lesson and Sentinel Program telephone line (323 805 8700) offering an introduction to the weekly Lesson, and the ability to select each of the individual sections in the Lesson. There are also programs from the Christian Science Sentinel. Press 1 for the weekly Bible Lesson, 2 for El Heraldo (weekly in Spanish), 3 for Sentinel Watch (weekly), 4 for Daily Lift (weekdays).
Wednesday noon testimony meeting at 13th Church, Los Angeles
You and your friends are invited to a weekly Wednesday 12 noon testimony meeting at 13th Church Los Angeles Christian Science Reading Room, 4747 Hollywood Blvd. Bring your lunch, participate and leave refreshed.
Sunday evening, 7:30 p.m., at 36th Church (Studio City), and Sunday afternoon, 5 p.m., at 4th Church, Long Beach
Does your schedule sometimes keep you from attending a Sunday morning service? The members of 36th Church, Los Angeles (Studio City), warmly invite you to their Sunday evening service, the only such service in the L.A. area, which begins at 7:30 p.m. The church is at 4032 Whitsell Avenue, one block north of Ventura Blvd. Also, 4th Church, Long Beach, invites you to their Regular Sunday 5 p.m. Service. Their church is at 3629 Atlantic Avenue.
Spanish Sunday services, monthly at 3rd Church, Los Angeles (Downtown), and Second Church, Whittier
